Las Vegas (Sin City) culture

Las Vegas is sometimes called Sin City or simply Vegas. Las Vegas owes much of its fame to legalized gambling and huge casinos. Las vegas is also well known for adult entertainment and prostitution is legal in nearby counties (it is illegal in Las Vegas, Clark County, and the rest of the US).

The Las Vegas Strip is 4.5 miles (about 7 km) of Las Vegas Boulevard and home to numerous resort/casinos.

Las Vegas has a population of over 500,000 while the population for the Las Vegas metropolitan area (including all of Clark County) is over 1.5 million people. This is the fastest growing region in the US.
