My name is James, but many people call me Jim. I was born in New York, where I lived until I finished eighth grade. My family then moved to New Jersey, but when someone asks me where I'm from, I always say, "New York."

Some of my interests (besides teaching EFL at the university and on ESL go.com) are listening to music, reading, playing frisbee and tennis, hiking, and writing.

My favorite types of musical are classical, jazz, funk, and some rock. I especially like choral music, and used to sing in several choirs in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. My claim to fame is that I once sang in Carnegie Hall.

I enjoy reading modern American novels, travel books, and books about mythology. I'm very interested in Greek mythology and have been thinking about writing a book set during the Trojan War.

I love being outdoors, so even though I'm not very good at tennis or frisbee, I love playing them. Living in Korea is great because of all the beautiful mountains with hiking trails and I've seen many beautiful landscapes in Korea.

The longer you study here, the better we'll get to know each other. For example there's the ESL class based on my cats for starters!
