Are you ready to learn English vocabulary?

Hi! I'm James Trotta, an English teacher from New York. I just finished a Master of Applied Linguistics and I've been teaching English since 1998.

I've designed this site to help English students learn vocabulary words. Many students keep vocabulary journals, but wouldn't it be more fun to do it online? That way we can have one really big vocabulary journal with lots of words and lots of examples for each word.

I can't email grammar lessons and that kind of stuff but I will try to answer vocabulary questions here on this message board and grammar questions on the other part of the forum.

Sir I am a student of M.Phil here in Pakistan and for advanced studies its really very necessary to learn standard English but my vocabulary is very week and often I fail to use words to express myself.
To what extent your web can help me and how I can take full advantage of it.

Hi~My name is Lee So Hyun,and I'm 24 years old.
I'm really happy to study with you.
My major is English Language & Culture.

I live in Mok Dong which is not far from school.
(It takes 40~50 minutes to get to school.)
My family members are my parents, older sister,
younger sister,and I.
However, my older sister lives in the United States
for her master's degree.
I like reading books, watching movies,and singing.
Also, I love listening musics, especially I'm fond of
Jazz music these days.
I think living in the United States have an influence on my life style.

Actually, I stayed in the U.S.A last year for improving my English
skills and learning American culture. I lived in Philadelphia
with my older sister. It was a great opportunity
to learn something new to me. Also, I'm so pleased that
making good friends there. Moreover, I think my experience
in the United States is very useful for my studying and my future.
After graduation, I want to be an English teacher or enter
a foreign company.


Now,I want to write something in English fluently by taking this course.
I wish I can make it, and I'll study hard for my goal^^ I bet~~

I am Peter and i am 49 years old. I just starten a new job in a International Company and the main language is English, specially written Tecnical English. I want to be able to write tecnical reports with out mistakes. Perhaps you can help me with that. I am from the Netherland,
