That depends what you do on your vacation or when you take your vacation. You are right that we have a famous season for vacation. When the season comes we get stressed from traffic or vacation plans.
My point is that you dont really have to follow others. Honestly you dont have a fixed vacation date. You can choose your vacation dates.
In my case, I dont go anywhere on vacation season. I just stay in Seoul. During that time there is no traffic in Seoul. I can relax more than others who stuck in the traffic.

Most Korean companies give vacation to their employees with same period. Actually, our vacation period is in August and February on new year's day.
