who should pay for meals or entertainment?
Hi my name is kyeongtae kang from english lab(102). My professor’ opinion is that “I think men should pick up the checks most, if not all, of the time. Women may offer to pay occasionally, but men are expected to stop them. Some of my women friends told me that when they offer to pay, they only do so halfheartedly(not pleasure).”
Where does it come from this custom?
In my opinion, The korean usually think that paying meals and entertainment is one of the best ways to show someone’s affection to other people. But, I realized that paying meals and entertainment is not a desireable way to show my affection in my partner. Behind this way of thinking, stratum consiousness was in my mind. For instance, I am not good enough for my partner, thus, I should pay the meals and entertainment for my partner. Unconsciously, I looked down on myself. It is my ideas about paying date costs from my experience. And I want to dicuss this topic with all of you. Please, give me any ideas and experiences related this topic 
